Director

Abe Scarr is responsible for program and organizational development, research, and legislative advocacy for ConnPIRG. He also oversees the staff and program on ConnPIRG's campus chapters. Before becoming director, Mr. Scarr was the organizing director for ConnPIRG's campus program.  In that role, he worked with ConnPIRG student and staff leadership on a variety of campaigns, including efforts to expand public transportation in Connecticut, pass federal health care reform, and modernize Connecticut's voter registration system. Mr. Scarr started as campus organizer with MASSPIRG in 2003 after graduating from Haverford College in 2002 with a degree in Philosophy.
